The messengers reach Mathura and tell Shatrughna all
Full sarga summary
The messengers reach Mathura and tell Shatrughna all -- Lakshmana's loss, Rama's vow, the enthroning of his sons, and Ayodhya emptied -- and Shatrughna, dividing his realm between Subahu and Shatrughati, returns to follow Rama -- the monkeys, bears and rakshasas led by Sugriva gather to accompany him, and Rama assents, but charges Vibhishana to go on ruling Lanka and Hanuman to live as long as his story is told.
