The great battle between Vishnu and the rakshasa host

Full sarga summary

The great battle between Vishnu and the rakshasa host -- withstanding their showers of arrows, Vishnu blows his conch Panchajanya, slays them by thousands and routs their army toward Lanka -- Sumali is whirled from the field by his maddened horses -- Mali fights on, striking Garuda with his mace, until the enraged Vishnu severs Mali's head with his discus -- the gods rejoice, and Sumali and Malyavan flee back to Lanka.
