Brahma comes to Lanka to ransom Indra and names Ravana's son Indrajit, the conqueror of Indra

Full sarga summary

Brahma comes to Lanka to ransom Indra and names Ravana's son Indrajit, the conqueror of Indra -- denied outright immortality, Indrajit is granted that, whenever he first worships fire, a sun-chariot shall bear him invincible into battle -- Indra is freed, and Brahma reveals that his captivity was the fruit of his violation of Ahalya, bidding him regain heaven by a Vaishnava sacrifice -- thus, says Agastya, was even Indra conquered.
