Vishravas weds Bharadvaja's daughter and begets Vaishravana (Kubera)

Full sarga summary

Vishravas weds Bharadvaja's daughter and begets Vaishravana (Kubera) -- by severe penance Kubera wins from Brahma the lordship of wealth, the rank of world-guardian, and the Pushpaka chariot -- at his father's counsel he settles in Lanka on Mount Trikuta, built by Vishvakarma and once abandoned by the rakshasas who fled to Patala in fear of Vishnu -- Kubera dwells there in prosperity.
